Venue: Athens International Airport, Art and Environment Exhibition Area,Departures Level, 2nd floor
“Drops of Breath”, the world’s first underwater dance performance that took place under the ancient Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounio, Attica, last September, is the theme of the new exhibition that recently opened at the Art and Environment Exhibition Area in Athens International Airport.
The new airport exhibition “Drops of Breath” displays the dance performed under the surface of the Mediterranean sea, through a video and large format print pictures.
At the same time, visitors can access and enjoy samples of the Drops of Breath music tracks through the available QR application.
Back in September 2015, “Drops of Breath” was performed 5 meters below the surface of the water. There, 15 artists (amongst them three disabled dancers & three children) from France, Greece and Cyprus, performed the “Drops of Breath” choreography before an underwater and a snorkeling audience at the sea’s surface.
The “Drops of Breath” exhibition will run until April 30.
Drops of Breath is part of “The Underwater Heart of the Mediterranean” project which is co-funded by E.U. Creative Europe.
