Strategically located in the southeastern Europe in a maximum 3 hour flight from most European cities, Hellas (Greece), is one of the newest destinations in the scuba diving family and this is so, for very good reasons: Diving – until 2006 – was significantly restricted, by government and archaeological authorities, so as to protect the rich heritage that still lies down there. Now that the regulation has eased, the country, with its long experience and infrastructure in tourism and its related services, is determined to provide unique dives accompanied with a premium service level.
A great number of living species in the Hellenic waters, including dolphins, the monk seal Monachus Monachus, one of the rarest species on the planet, Caretta-Caretta sea turtle and sperm whales are only a few of the inhabitants of the Hellenic Archipelagos.
